My name is Angelica and I have a severe
addiction to puppies their happiness is contagious! They remind me everyday that we should love unconditionally.
I just cant live without them!!
I owned and operated Amattskennel from 1990 untill 2005.
Named after myself Angelica and my son Matthew. We have been offering healthy and happy puppies to satisfied customers for many years. Currently we are specializing
in the lil/non shedding toy breeds in mixes.
I have been breeding dogs my entire adult life, as a child I had a special interest in dogs
and caring for them. Early on I knew that this is what I wanted to do. I would spend all my spare time reading and learning
everything that I could take in. I volunteered at our local veterinarian clinic so I could gain more knowledge and understanding
about good health and medicine. What I learned and saw has made me a better breeder
and has gave me the knowledge to provide our puppies with the best of current care.
People who are against breeding have send me emails in the past saying that breeding
and selling puppies is bad, and because we have many breeds we are a puppymill, I strongly disagree. Animal control officers
on their routine and always surprise inspections have always been impressed and very happy with what they see.
We keep our babies untill they are 10wks old and have spent more time with their mom and litter
mates just learning how to be a dog. Most breeders send their puppies home at 8wks
some even younger. We start vaccinations at 6wks so we can have peace of mind that our puppies are well protected against
deadly viruses. Caring for puppies and adult dogs is not for everyone, it involves alote of hard work and emotional dedication.
No matter what anyone says I love what I do-it is in my blood and I will do it as long as my health will allow.
I am a family person, and value my family and friends. I am a wife and the loving mother of
Matthew, Zachary and Jeremy. I love my family, my animals and my buyers. You will find that dealing with me will be a much
different experience from someone who wants to sell you a puppy in a parking lot next to an ATM machine. You will be welcomed
into my home and I promise that you will feel completely at home. One of my goals is to make your adoption process as stress
free as possible. We truly feel that all families with any budget should be able to afford the puppy in their dreams, we
always try to offer our puppies at very reasonable prices.
**SALLY AND I**
In 2005 after the birth of Zachary I was faced with the agonizing decision to give up the
dogs entirely. After many prayers my friend Sally and fellow dog breeder offered to take my dogs-raise the puppies and allow
me to place them into their new homes. Please understand that as long as Sally is doing all the hard work we must follow
her rules! Sally's # 1 rule no visitors untill the puppies are 10wks and ready to go. Exposing a
vulnerable puppy to deadly viruses is not worth the sale. Raising the puppies at her house and allowing visitors at my
house has proven to be a great success in keeping the delicate infant puppies healthy. Less traffic means minimal exposure!
Puppy parents are not on my premises!!!
What does it take to adopt a Amatskennel Puppy?
1. Are you aware of what a puppies needs for the 1st year?
- Vaccines, Housebreaking, grooming, toys, good food, patience and lots of traning.
Puppies can be expensive during the first year of life are you willing to budget for these expenses?
2. Do you have the time to share with a dog?
Dogs are very people oriented they love us and want to be with us. A dog at home by itself would
be lonely and unhappy just imagine if you were not allowed to be with the person you love the most in this whole world.
3. Do you love dogs?
If yo can answer yes to the three questions above than I dont see a reason why you should
not have one of my puppies. If you have fallen in love, everything else will come with experience. We are here to guide
your way. We understand that not everyone has raised a puppy but if you are willing to learn, accept advise and do your very
best everything will be just fine.
I have young children and would feel very dissapointed if that is the reason why
a breeder would not let me have the puppy I really want. We feel that you know your children better than us, you be the
judge of how they will treat the puppy. Children move quickly and are naturally noise makers-some like to scream ALOTE
like my Jeremy. If a puppy would not be happy in a busy household due to their personality we will let you know
and help you in making a better choice.
Protect them, love them unconditionally as they will love you unconditionally, provide for them
what they cant provide for them selves-that is all we ask.
It will be my pleasure to raise a puppy just for you and send them into your home from
